These terms apply to the NowCut Android app ("the app"), published by NowStacks (nowstacks.com; "we", "us") and developed by Gemini Digital Solutions. By installing or using the app you agree to them.
1. Using the app
The app is free to use, with no ads and no in-app purchases. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control. Do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app except where the law allows it.
2. Your videos and content
The videos you make are yours. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you add to a project (videos, photos, music, recordings and text) and for how you use and share what you export. Do not use the app to create or share content that is illegal, infringes anyone's rights, or deceives or harms people, for example by using editing, chroma key or voice filters to impersonate someone or to show real people saying or doing things they did not.
3. Built-in music, sound effects and visuals
The built-in music, sound effects, stock backgrounds and overlays are made by NowStacks; the app creates them on your phone. You may use them in the videos you make with NowCut, including videos you publish, monetise or use commercially. You may not extract them and sell, share or license them on their own, for example as sound packs or asset libraries. Emoji stickers are drawn with your phone's emoji font.
4. Keep copies of important projects
We are not responsible for projects, media or exports that are lost, damaged or deleted, including when the app is uninstalled or its storage is cleared. Use Share / back up to keep a copy of projects that matter to you. Export results depend on your phone: not every resolution, frame rate or format is available on every device, and an export can fail, for example when storage is full.
5. Other apps and services
Text to speech uses the speech engine installed on your phone, and sharing hands your files to the apps you choose. These are provided by their own developers under their own terms. The app is distributed through Google Play under Google Play's terms.
6. Updates
Updates are delivered through Google Play. Install them to get fixes and new features.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Agra, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date; continuing to use the app means you accept it.
